In her mid-teen years, Adele asked a friend to film a video/demo of her performing, which they then uploaded to My Space. The 2006 live performance, of the song Daydreamer, features the singer accompanying herself on acoustic guitar. Two years later, the same song opened Adele’s winning album debut, 19. However blurry the visual, and hazy the recording, in the vocals you can hear much of the purity and range of the great Adele to come.

Adele is back in the UK and will pen songs over the summer to work towards an album release date of Christmas 2019 after taking a long break from the music scene

The Hello star, 30, had a meeting about the project earlier this month and will spend much of this summer writing the record.

She is working to­wards a release date of Christmas 2019.

Adele’s meeting took place at Sony’s London HQ.

A music insider said: “She’s back in the UK and intends to write here. A number of studio musicians have been approached to work with her and she’s already penned some of the songs.”
