Shot this Portrait of Freddie at The Power House where Metropolis Studios is. Queen were shooting their video Headlong in 1991. Fred always liked to mess about in front of camera. It was in his nature. This is a screen grab from a section of a contact sheet from that day. I love contact sheets. This where see the shots leading up to the one that gets chosen.I was there for the whole video shoot covering the song and doing portraits of all the band. The cameras were on monster cranes for the video so they sweep around from high up to low shots. These things could kill you if you weren’t careful. You had to have eyes in the back of your head.
